Underpass Virgin : No Wonder She Weeps
For those who, like me, have incredible trouble deciphering the supernatural appearance, I have put together a viewing guide from the above AP photo which I think most clearly portrays the thing (and I swear to the Blessed Mother that I haven't altered the image in anyway):
But wait! There's something else going on here. To the right of the Virgin Mary is a cartoon bubble, so to speak:

Hilarious.
I saw more recent pictures of the stain and someone put a picture of the pope where the "Go Cubs" part is.
yeah. sad that they covered up such a very important part of the icon.

The "Go Cubs" is back, the rest of the icon, gone.
Okay so there's another update--the virgin was painted over in brown paint, but someone removed the shape of her (I saw this with my own eyes on Sun.) so she is back, surrounded by brown.
Very funny. Here in Brazil, some people once saw the virgin in a smudge window glass.
She's everywhere, doesn't she? :]
